Mike Cross born in New York City, moved to Pana Illinois in 1968, married Sue Forbes Cross in 1970, moved to Las Vegas Nevada in 1979, worked in the casino business in Las Vegas, Reno, and Lake Tahoe. moved back to Illinois in the mid 90s, 0wned several businesses including restaurants, distributorships , and an automobile dealership.
Im semi retired and own and operate Oak Street Station/ Pana History Museum.
Also sit on the board of the University of Illinois extension, vice President of the Well Christian outreach center. Play conga drums in a worship band, teach Sunday school, and taught food service to autistic and special needs people.

David Nance
I was born in Pana and spent most of my life there. I have lived in Jacksonville, IL for the past 28 years. At a young age I was drawn to nature and became an outdoors person. I loved athletics—especially track and field— and eventually ran cross country and track at EIU in Charleston,IL. Where I became a member of a division 2 national championship track team in 1974. I became a secondary education teacher with a MS in biological sciences education in 1990. I taught biological sciences for most of the 36 years of my career in the Pana schools. I became interested in prairie conservation and founded Anderson Prairie Park, a 25 acre prairie near Pana High school utilizing it as an outdoor laboratory for my students and founded the Lincoln Prairie Trail, a 14.6 mile hike and bike trail between Pana And Taylorville,IL. My greatest devotion is to my Savior Jesus Christ.
