Rook Farm Homes
Rooted in Shelbyville, crafted for your lifestyle
Curating rooms that flow as naturally as they function.
Rook Farm Homes
Infusing their Shelbyville interiors with a deeply personal and artisanal touch, Regina and Brad Hilbert curate accent items for Rook Farm Homes that celebrate authentic craftsmanship and local heritage.
Rather than depending on mass-produced decor, every decorative accent—from hand-forged iron hardware and vintage textiles to custom woodwork pieces sourced from their neighboring wood shop—is hand-selected to complement the home’s organic architectural palette.
This thoughtful approach ensures that shelves, tabletops, and entryways are layered with meaningful, tactile objects that tell a story, grounding each room in a warm, lived-in authenticity.

The couple’s deep appreciation for regional history heavily influences the character of these accent selections.
Regina and Brad frequently source vintage artifacts, reclaimed wood pieces, and antique hardware from across Central Illinois, giving newly built or renovated spaces an instant sense of storied pedigree.
By blending these historical touchpoints with clean-lined contemporary elements, they achieve a curated equilibrium where old and new converse effortlessly without feeling staged or precious.

Wall decor and soft furnishings are treated as organic extensions of the landscape, mirroring the muted, earthy tones of the surrounding prairie.
Hand-dyed linens, textured jute rugs, and raw-edge canvases introduce subtle shifts in color that change as daylight moves through the rooms.
This disciplined restraint in color selection allows individual accent pieces—such as a locally forged iron wall sconce or a rare botanical print—to stand out as quiet focal points rather than contributing to visual noise.

Natural elements play a starring role in how Regina and Brad style tabletops, mantels, and open shelving.
Branches harvested from the local timber, dried grasses, and potted botanicals bring the outside in, ensuring the interior remains tethered to the changing seasons of Shelbyville.
These organic vignettes are balanced with functional art, such as hand-carved wooden bowls and heavy stoneware pitchers, which combine everyday utility with sculptural beauty.

Ultimately, the decorative styling championed by Regina and Brad transforms houses into deeply personal sanctuaries.
By rejecting mass-market uniformity in favor of meaningful, hand-selected accents, they ensure that every Rook Farm home reflects the distinct identity and rhythms of the people who inhabit it.
It is a masterclass in quiet luxury, where every object has a purpose, a history, and a rightful place in the narrative of daily life.

Lighting within these curated vignettes is handled with precise intimacy, moving beyond overhead fixtures to create pools of localized atmosphere.
Regina and Brad favor low-wattage Edison bulbs, textured glass lamp bases, and taper candles that cast a soft, golden glow over artisan surfaces by evening.
This deliberate layering of illumination accentuates the varied textures of wood grain, linen, and aged metal, creating an inviting, shelter-like ambiance as night settles over the farm.
Rook Farm Homes
Ultimately, the interior design service offered by Rook Farm Homes is defined by a commitment to honest materials, timeless craftsmanship, and understated elegance.
By bridging the gap between architectural structure and personal lifestyle, the service helps homeowners create cohesive, beautiful spaces that honor their roots and elevate their everyday experiences.
